Zopa’s Biscuit account is topping the tables at 4.75% AER, but a few other app-first banks aren’t far behind. If you can’t hit the £500/month funding rule — or just want to compare — start here.

Did you miss Zopa’s Biscuit eye-catching 4.75% easy-acess saver? No worries, here's some great alternatives!

1. Chase UK – 4.5% AER, no monthly pay-in

Chase is the simplest like-for-like alternative. New customers can get 4.5% AER on the linked saver for 12 months — it’s basically the standard 2.5% saver + 2% fixed bonus. No “pay £500 in every month” rule, but you do need the Chase current account.

Why pick it instead of Zopa? you want something in the mid-4s but don’t want to reroute salary or a standing order every month.

2. Revolut savings – up to 4.5% on Ultra

Revolut’s UK savings rate depends on your plan. Standard is lower, but on the Ultra plan you can get up to 4.5% AER on instant-access savings. It’s app-first like Zopa, but the catch is you’re paying for the plan, so the real value depends on whether you already use Revolut for travel/spend.

Best for: people already paying Revolut — the saver is then basically a nice add-on.

3. Plain 4.4%–4.5% easy-access accounts

Most mainstream tables right now have “no-frills” easy-access in the 4.4–4.5% window. They don’t look as exciting as 4.75%, but you also don’t have to open a new current account or hit a funding rule. Good for larger balances and for people who don’t want to babysit the rate.

So when is Zopa still better?

  • You can reliably send £500/month into Biscuit.

  • You want the current market-leading headline rather than “close enough”.

  • You like the extras (2% on current-account balance, 7.10% regular saver, 2% DD cashback, fee-free card spend). That’s the bit the rivals don’t bundle together.
